Yu Miao and I have been paying together since around 2011 or so.  This 2013 recording is close to our beginnings.  The pieces are miniatures intended to introduce sonic possibilities.  We are both experimental and classical players.  The combination of instruments tends always to draw us back to melody and simple harmonic concept.  This seems true in these recordings even though we try to push tuning, technique and timbres to traditionally unfamiliar places.  These introductions are our joint proposals for what can be called avant-folk music.
